On Friday 30 November more than 60 of Scotland's top visitor attractions will open for free. Castles, museums, gardens and abbeys across Scotland from Orkney to Jedburgh will take part. The initiative is designed to encourage Scots and visitors to Scotland to celebrate Scotland's heritage and culture on Scotland's national day.

The last time I wrote to you folks back home I had left my farm in Islay to begin an adventure that took me to America, Australia and New Zealand. Coming home and seeing all the old flock in Islay was great for a while but it wasn’t long before I got itchy hooves!
