- Remember that your Glow username is the same as your network username but with the letters MC in front
- If you type the wrong password in 3 times, you will be locked out. This is just temporary – wait for about 20 minutes and then try again with the correct password
- If you set up the “Challenge Question” in Glow you will be able to use the “Forgotten your password” link. Instructions on how to do this below.
- If you need to change your password then make sure that your new one conforms to Glow's password policy. See below for details
- You cannot use a previous password – a changed one must be unique
Challenge Question
It is a good idea to select a 'Challenge Question' and enter a response of your choice as part of your user profile. If you lose or forget your password, you can then use the 'Forgotten your password?' link on the logon page. You will be invited to enter your challenge response, and can then change your password. If you don't set up a challenge question, and then forget your password, you will need to contact your teacher (if you are a pupil) or the the ICT Team (if you are a member of staff), so they can reset your password for you. You can set a Challenge Question by editing the details in your “My Profile” area.
Remember, there is a difference between being "locked out" and forgetting your password. If you are locked out then just wait, there is no point in changing your password unnecessarily.
